Resolutions

Looking for ideas to make my resolution and year memorable in both big and small ways. This blog was started as part of my New Years resolution. Simple, open myself up more while writing about a year of events, experiences, and adventures. Or so I thought…

Sure, resolutions are typically pushed aside within the first month . Knowing that, I enlisted my family without their prior knowledge, to partake in my resolution and keep me on track. I am still in the resolution “honeymoon phase”and really excited to try new things with my family. I
have been busy making lists of different places, foods, and unique experiences we need to try. I immediately swung for the fences trying to get a media pass to Disney. Unfortunately, I was denied. Totally understandable! I am a small size outlet just starting out. Like all services, they aim to get the the most bang for their buck. I will not give up though. I cannot expect my kids to dream big if I do not myself.

Having our kids involved is bringing its own unique twist to this adventure. While Disney was our older ones idea, our 3 year old suggested we “swash buckle”. I don’t for see us engaging in daring and romantic adventures with ostentatious bravado or flamboyance, but she does get points for creativity. They are helping to make even the smallest experiences seem like momentous events. Last weekend they tried cheese curds for the first time. You would have thought I had been keeping the secrets of the holy grail from them! I was scared to even reach my hand out and snag a piece for myself.

I would love to know what new things other people think we should try. Big or small, from food to travel or just plain silly shenanigans. All ideas and assistance is appreciated!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Little and Fierce

Our youngest started preschool today. She was so excited and more than ready. Even letting out a “whoop whoop” as we pulled into the school. I had to keep reminding myself not to let my own anxiety and sadness ruin her moment. I always tell my girls they can do anything. This is her adventure and she has always danced to the beat of her own drum.

“Though she be but little she is fierce “.
